Design Technologies was founded in 1985 and is located in Newark, Ohio.
We have successfully completed hundreds of projects since that time to the delight of our clients. We boast an extremely high number of repeat homeowner customers, some of which are living in and enjoying their 3rd custom home designed by us. We pride ourselves on fast turn around times, attention to detail, and a homeowner-friendly attitude whereby we help to educate the client in the nuances of architectural and structural design.
We also are the exclusive design firm of many of the area's finest and most respected builders. Probably the most common reason that is cited by builder clients for their repeat business is the fact that our plans are carefully thought out and contain all necessary detail for obtaining permits and actual construction. Any potential construction pitfalls are identified prior to project completion to enhance the smoothness of the construction phase of the project.
With over 15 years experience in performing plan reviews for a building department we are very well versed in all of the codes that regulate building design and construction. This experience further enhances our ability to make the design of the building safe and code-compliant and reduces the chance that you will be “surprised” by issues during the building permit review process. All structural engineering is performed in-house which expedites the timeline of the project as well as keeping costs down.
In addition to our residential design services, we have provided design consultation services on numerous commercial building projects, both large and small. A small sampling of some of those projects can be found in the Commercial Gallery. We will facilitate the design of your building and coordinate the completion of the project with one of our Engineering or Architectural partners.
Now with modern technology we can provide all of our services electronically, eliminating the need for travel or our clients taking time out of their busy schedule to meet. All consultations and provision of progress drawings can be done electronically, at a time that is convenient for the client.
